A mystery vacation is a trip you don’t have to plan. In fact, you know very little about your trip until you arrive at the airport, train station, boat launch, or where ever we decide is the perfect starting location for you and your group. Using a series of carefully developed surveys our Mystery Planners will gather your group preferences on travel, budget, dates, activities, lodging & and everything else we can think of: to create the perfect vacation. We send out the basic trip details including the dates, approximate budget, required deposit and and once everyone commits, we will book everything for the trip. Approximately a week before the trip, you and your group will receive a Mystery Package with a packing list, start location, approximate departure time along with some other surprises for your trip. On the day of your trip you show up to the starting location and your adventure begins!

We currently offer a couple of different options for your mystery vacations.

True Mystery - We do all the work for you. All you have to do is answer our surveys and and show up when and where we've decided.

The Planner - For those of you who aren't comfortable with having strangers plan your entire trip, you can designate a group planner who will work directly with us to help plan and organize the trip.

The New Friend - For an additional fee (travel, lodging, etc) your mystery planner will meet you at your destination and come along with you as a tour guide, organizer and new friend on your vacation.

We'll plan anything from camping trip to week long resort stays. It's all up to the collective will of you and your friends based on the survey information we collect.

Not at all! In fact, just about every trip we've planned has had participants from multiple starting locations around the country.

Of course, we can easily plan a family friendly vacation! Just let us know in the survey how many kids are coming and what types of activities they enjoy (or hate)!

Every Mystery Vacation is unique, and it is nearly impossible to generalize the cost. As part of the survey process we'll get your ideal trip length and budget and work from there. Once we've gathered your group's information, we'll determine a few options and come up with an approximate budget, dates and payment schedule for your trip. A deposit will be required for each person attending the Mystery Vacation before anything is booked.

Unfortunately, in order to provide the full mystery vacation experience using travel points isn't generally possible. That said, if you're interested in using points to book some parts of your trip and surprising your friends or family, we can work probably with that.

Mystery Vacations includes Travel to and from the destination(s), Lodging, Group Activities, Duck Viewing (Not guaranteed).
Mystery Vacation does NOT include: Food, Alcohol, Passport Costs, Headlamp, Four Gallons of Cookie Dough, Touristy Trinkets and Emergency Room Visits.
